TOMPOLLO-LED PBAT DOOR-TO-DOOR MOVEMENT PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO RHA IKORODU: Foot soldiers of the Tompollo-led PBAT Door-to-Door Movement on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Comrade Japheth Odesanya, as part of their ongoing grassroots engagement and mobilisation activities in the constituency.
The visit brought together members of the movement who have continued to engage communities and stakeholders in support of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The delegation used the opportunity to strengthen its relationship with the leadership of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Ikorodu and discuss the importance of sustained grassroots engagement.
Before visiting the RHA coordinator, the group had earlier paid homage to the paramount ruler of Ikorodu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Engr. Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu. The traditional visit was part of the movement’s engagement with important stakeholders in the community and reflected its recognition of the traditional institution as an important pillar of community leadership and unity.
The visit to the Ayangburen also provided an opportunity for members of the movement to demonstrate respect for the cultural heritage and traditional leadership of Ikorodu. Such engagements, the group noted, are important in promoting peaceful interaction, mutual understanding and stronger relationships between grassroots political movements and community institutions.
At the meeting with Comrade Odesanya, discussions centred on the need for continued grassroots mobilisation, effective communication with residents and greater participation in political and community activities. The engagement also highlighted the importance of building a coordinated grassroots structure capable of reaching residents across the various communities within the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
The courtesy visit further provided an avenue for the Tompollo-led movement and the Renewed Hope Ambassadors leadership to exchange ideas on ways to deepen community-level engagement and ensure that the voices and concerns of residents remain part of ongoing political conversations.
Comrade Odesanya welcomed the delegation and appreciated the members of the movement for the visit. He acknowledged the importance of grassroots actors in political mobilisation, particularly in creating stronger connections between political leadership and the people at the community level.
The engagement ended on a positive note for both sides. The group presented their customized shirt and a branded face cap to the ambassador as a mark of solidarity. In his response, Comrade Japheth presented a prospectus containing the numerous landmark achievements of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR
