The inauguration will cover Local Council Development Area (LCDA) deputy coordinators, ward coordinators, directors, deputy directors and secretaries to the directorates, formalising the organisation’s leadership and operational structure across the constituency.

The programme, themed “Revalidating the Mandate of Hope — A Collective, Historic Necessity,” is expected to focus on grassroots engagement, political participation and strategies to consolidate support for President Tinubu.

Announcing the event at a press conference held at the RHA secretariat on Wednesday, October 9, Coordinator of RHA Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Comrade Japheth Odesanya, said the organisation was preparing for a more coordinated and results-driven phase of mobilisation.

“Ikorodu is the new Alimosho, and we are up to the task,” Odesanya declared, expressing confidence in the constituency’s capacity to deliver on the organisation’s political mobilisation objectives.

Odesanya: Revalidating the Mandate of Hope — A Collective, Historic Necessity,

Odesanya emphasize that retruning the president is non-negotiable, its a collective resonsiblity for progressives and for the growth of our economy. Securing 250,000 votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next general elections Is an ambitious but achievable goal, stressing that success would depend on collective effort, strategic planning and sustained engagement with voters.

“Our target of 250,000 votes is achievable if we work together with purpose and consistency. We must reach beyond our existing support base and engage voters who are still undecided, as well as non-partisan Nigerians who are open to the President’s message and policies,” he said.

He added that the organisation’s strategy would prioritise voter engagement at the grassroots, with ward coordinators and directorates expected to play central roles in identifying concerns, communicating the administration’s agenda and building broader political participation.

At the meeting, the various directorates presented strategic reports outlining their plans and approaches towards achieving the organisation’s target. The presentations formed part of efforts to align the leadership team around measurable objectives and a coordinated mobilisation framework.

“We cannot afford to leave mobilisation to chance. Every directorate must understand its responsibilities, develop practical strategies, and work with the ward structures to translate our collective vision into results,” Odesanya said.

Senator Abiru’s Name to Grace RHA Conference Room

A notable highlight of the secretariat commissioning will be the unveiling of the RHA conference room named in honour of Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, a move that places the senator at the centre of the organisation’s institutional recognition in Ikorodu.

The event is also expected to attract prominent political, traditional and community figures, including Senator Abiru; Lagos State Ambassador, Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Tayo Akinmade Ayinde; and Cardinal (Dr.) James Omolaja Odunmbaku, who is listed as chairman of the occasion.

Other invited dignitaries include His Excellency Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former Deputy Governor of Lagos State; Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun; Senator Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe; Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa; and Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

The royal fathers expected include the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, HRM Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, alongside other traditional rulers from Ikorodu and neighbouring communities.

A New Phase for Grassroots Mobilisation

For RHA Ikorodu Federal Constituency, the inauguration represents more than a formal ceremony. It signals an effort to strengthen internal coordination, establish clearer responsibilities and build a more structured grassroots mobilisation network.

With the commissioning of its secretariat, the unveiling of the Senator Abiru-named conference room and the inauguration of its leadership team, the organisation is positioning itself for a more active role in political engagement across Ikorodu.

The central test, however, will be whether the structure and strategies presented can translate into sustained voter engagement and deliver the ambitious 250,000-vote target outlined by Odesanya.

As the coordinator put it, “Ikorodu is the new Alimosho, and we are up to the task.” The October 29 gathering will mark the formal beginning of the next phase of that ambition.\
