RENEWED HOPE AMBASSADORS IKORODU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY HOLDS INAUGURAL DIRECTORATE MEETING, SETS GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION AGENDA: The Directorate of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Ikorodu Federal Constituency, held its inaugural meeting, bringing together members of the newly constituted directorate to chart a clear path for grassroots engagement, mobilisation, and the advancement of the Renewed Hope Agenda across the constituency. The meeting, which opened with prayers, also provided an opportunity for directors to introduce themselves, understand their respective responsibilities, and begin building the teamwork required to take the movement closer to communities across Ikorodu. The Coordinator, Comrade Japheth Odesanya, welcomed the directors and described the gathering as a special one, noting that it was an opportunity to harness the calibre of people assembled under the platform. “This is a special gathering, with the calibre of people we have in this team,” he said, while encouraging members to approach the assignment with seriousness, unity, and a strong sense of responsibility.
A major focus of the meeting was the need for the directorate to develop a practical and measurable programme of activities. The coordinator stressed that the immediate task was not simply to have a structure in place but to determine what the RHA in Ikorodu could achieve and how those objectives could be translated into action at the grassroots. He also emphasized that the assignment is not to gather known faces or party members but to target non-party members with PVC. In his words, “Our assignment is to engage in public re-engineering, reorientation, and information dissemination to bring about re-tuning of the people’s mindset and getting them informed adequately of the government policy.” The discussion also placed strong emphasis on expanding the movement beyond its existing membership by engaging non-partisan residents and encouraging wider participation. Comrade JAPHETH expressed gratitude to Senator Tokunbo Abiru, a major financier of the group’s operations.
