LAGOS STATE AMBASSADOR FOR RENEWED HOPE VISITS THE OGOGO FAMILY. The Lagos State Ambassador for Renewed Hope and Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late ace Nollywood actor, Alhaji Taiwo Hasan (Ogogo), in his Ikorodu residence yesterday.
Mr. Tayo Ayinde, in his tribute, described the late actor as a legend and household name in the Nigerian film industry.
“It is painful to lose such a great man. We all share in your pain at this turbulent time,” he said.
He noted that Ogogo was a resourceful member of the Lagos State APC campaign team in his lifetime while expressing the governor’s condolences as well.
Ayinde said legends like Ogogo deserve celebration, making reference to what the United States president Donald Trump did following the death of the music legend and icon, Dolly Parton, by declaring a national mourning and moving the American flags half-mast to celebrate her exit.
Mr. Ayinde had in his entourage some state directors of the Renewed.
He was received in Ikorodu by the teeming members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Ikorodu Federal Constituency, led by Comrade Japheth Odesanya.
The visit ended with prayers for the repose of the deceased and for strength, comfort, and grace for the Ogogo family to bear the loss. The presence of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors at the condolence visit underscored the organization’s solidarity with the family and its commitment to standing with members of the Ikorodu community during moments of grief and transition.
